Facilities ManagementAssistant
As an assistant to Facilities Management I have been given many different tasks. Tasks were given as a prioritised list which I had to complete through time management and self-motivation. I have had the opportunity to work on major design projects which extended both my practical and design knowledge.
Nannying
Wellington (March 2014 - Current)
I have been a nanny to multiple families over the past couple of years. Providing care for children between the ages of 2 to 11. This job has provided me with organisation, planning, and problem solving skills. This has also made me more focused and manage my time better whilst studying, as time is limited with working four afternoons a week. I have also learned how to manage multiple things at one time, as cooking, cleaning, and providing assistance with entertainment and homework was essential.
Daydream Island Resort and Spa
Whitsundays (Dec 2012 – Feb 2013)
Food and Beverage Assistant
This opportunity in Australia allowed me to gain skills in customer service, hospitality and allowed me to function as individual. As a Food and Beverage Assistant I participated in the set up and running of some functions such as weddings. I was trained in a bar and how to be a host in a restaurant. I also furthered my skills as a barrister when I worked within the bakery/café. Daydream Island allowed me to also work within a changing team environment.
New World
Feilding (Jan 2011 – Nov 2011) Tawa (Jan 2012 – Nov 2013)
Grocery Assistant/Supervisor (Checkout)
As a Supervisor/Shift Manager I organised the checkout team of staff. I also made sure customers were treated with the high standards of both Foodstuffs and the New World brand. This job required team work and time management to make sure the store was run smoothly.
Kelly’s Shoes
Wanganui (Nov 2009 – Oct 2010)
Sales assistant
At the Kelly’s Shoe stores I specialised in selling all types of shoes and sport clothing. The store also became my responsibility as I opened and closed the store both Saturday and Sunday. I looked after the money and all the sales and stock for the weekend.
